When I woke up, I remembered these dreams so vividly. God brought people and verses to me over the next few days that helped me interpret what these dreams were, and why He gave them to me.
The first dream is facing a challenge. One that it seems we will not be able to overcome. So much so, that I tend to want to work to help… but in spite of the odds, I have faith that God will help us overcome this challenge, and we will succeed.
The second dream is also facing a challenge, but from a different perspective. I felt out of control, scared, and anxious. Sure that we would fail, I would survive, but we would lose so much in the process.
John Maxwell says “Everything worth doing in life is uphill. Most people have uphill hopes with downhill habits. Nobody ever went uphill with downhill habits.”
The reality is that there was one challenge in our life during that time. God was showing me that I had a choice in how I viewed and approached this challenge. I can choose an uphill habit or a downhill habit.
I can panic and imagine every potential outcome, sure of failure…
I can trust and believe that He will bring us through, even though the odds seem impossible…. knowing that the view from the top is going to be amazing.
